Lens Technology

Before purchasing your eyewear, our staff will discuss with you the advantages of advanced lens treatments. Think of your glasses as a basic tool. With the selection of proper materials and the addition of proper coatings they perform well beyond simple vision correction, and actually enhance your day-to-day performance, appearance, and stamina.

Designs

Progressive or No-Line: A multifocal with many focal areas to give you a smooth transition from near to far with no lines separating the areas.

Flat-top Bifocal: Provides two focus areas for vision at two different distances. Has a line separating the areas of focus.

Trifocals: Provides three focus areas for vision at three different distances. Two lines separate the areas.

Occupational: Lenses designed for special needs. May be like any of the above or with other features, such as a bifocal segment at the top of your glasses, computer lenses, safety or special distances.

Single-Vision: All purpose or designed for specific visual needs.

Sunglasses

Polarized lenses: Selectively blocks reflected sun glare, while maintaining true natural colors. Provides superior vision for fishing, skiing, and daylight driving.

UV Light: Sunglasses that block harmful UVA and UVB rays. More than just a fashion statement.

Prescription: Sunglasses with your everyday prescription. Sees distance and near with progressive sunglass lenses.

Children: Children should wear high quality sunglasses after the age of 6 months. This can help reduce the risk of cataracts and macular degeneration later in life.
